Manufacturer Supplier Drinking Water Grade Water Purifying Chemicals PAC Powder Polyaluminum Chloride
Description:
Product Overview
LANSEN PAC is a spray-dried polyaluminum chloride (PAC) presented as a pale yellow powder. It is produced from high-purity aluminum hydroxide [Al(OH)₃] in accordance with food-grade standards. Being a major inorganic coagulant that is based on trivalent aluminum ions (Al³⁺), it has obtained the NSF/ANSI Standard 60 certification for the treatment of drinking water. Additionally, it functions as a retention aid in the papermaking process and a flocculant for the purification of wastewater and swimming pools.
Technical Advantages
Advanced Coagulation Mechanism
By integrating hydroxyl bridging and polyanionic polymerization, it forms highly charged inorganic macromolecules. This enables it to achieve significantly better coagulation efficiency when compared to traditional alum or ferric salts.
It creates larger and denser flocs, which contribute to rapid sedimentation and result in a decreased volume of sludge.
Broad Operational Adaptability
It is effective within a pH range of 4.0-9.0, so in most situations, there is no requirement for pH adjustment.
It demonstrates outstanding performance under challenging conditions such as:
Surface water that is abundant in algae.
Raw water at low temperatures (<5°C) and with low turbidity (<10 NTU).
Mildly contaminated water (with a COD <100 mg/L).
It also has an enhanced ability to remove turbidity in high-turbidity water (>1000 NTU).
Industrial Efficiency
The dosage of LANSEN PAC can be reduced by 30-50% in comparison to traditional coagulants, thus reducing operational costs.
The residual aluminum content is extremely low (<0.1 ppm), ensuring that it complies with the drinking water guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
